What is the Hulme Band actually built for?
Rather than tracking athletic output, the Hulme Band is engineered around healthspan monitoring — keeping continuous watch on biological age, metabolic momentum, blood pressure trends, HRV, blood oxygen (SpO2), sleep stages, and skin temperature, powered by a battery lasting up to 14 days. All core features are included in the purchase price with no subscription required.
Does my phone need to be nearby all the time?
Not at all. The Hulme Band stores everything on-device. Your phone only needs to come within Bluetooth range periodically so the free Hume Health app (iOS and Android) can sync and show you what's been captured. Days of data sit quietly on the wristband until that sync occurs.
What happens if it gets wet?
Nothing to worry about — it's IP68-rated, meaning it's dustproof and built to handle being submerged at 1 metre for up to 2 hours. Showers, pool sessions, and heavy training sessions all fall comfortably within its design limits.
How accurate is the health data?
Five LEDs and 4 photodiodes sample signals more often than most comparable wearables, with accuracy verified through in-house testing and independent lab comparisons. Fit matters — wearing it snugly, roughly a finger's width above the wrist bone, yields the cleanest and most reliable readings.
