Privacy Policy
What we collect from hulmeband.com, why it's needed, and how much of it remains yours to control โ written plainly.
Last updated: July 2026
Because the Hulme Band handles biomarker data โ not just your name and address โ we've written this in plain English rather than behind layers of legal language. Here's what Hume Health Corp collects through hulmeband.com and the Hume Health app, what we use it for, and how much control remains yours.
1. What Data Is Collected
Provided by you
- Order and account information โ name, email address, delivery address, payment details.
- Any information you share when contacting our support team.
Collected automatically via the hardware and app
- Raw sensor readings โ heart rate, HRV, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep stages, movement data โ the underlying inputs for app features such as Metabolic Momentum and biological age.
- Technical usage data โ device model, app version installed, and broad usage patterns used to improve performance and troubleshoot issues.
2. How That Data Is Used
- Transforming raw sensor data into the readable trends shown in the Hume Health app.
- Processing orders, arranging delivery, and handling returns or warranty requests.
- Responding to support enquiries.
- Improving sensor calibration and algorithms โ typically using anonymised or aggregated data rather than anything individually identifiable.
- Sending order updates, and occasional product news to those who've opted in.
3. Your Data Stays Yours
Nothing captured by the Hulme Band becomes our property โ it belongs to you from the moment it's generated. Your full data history can be exported from the Hume Health app whenever you like. If you'd prefer a clean break, a deletion request to support typically completes within 30 days, except for records (such as order history) that legal obligations require us to retain.
4. When Data Leaves Our Systems
We do not sell health data โ not now, and not under any future circumstances. Data is shared only in a small number of specific situations:
- Service providers running infrastructure we depend on โ payment processors, delivery partners, cloud services โ each contractually restricted to using your data only for their specific role.
- Legal requirements, when a court order or regulatory authority leaves no alternative.
- Business changes โ in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale โ with these same privacy commitments carried through to any successor organisation.
5. How Stored Data Is Protected
Encryption covers all data both at rest and in transit, in line with current industry standards. Internal access is restricted to staff with a genuine operational need. No system can claim to be entirely impenetrable, but we hold ourselves to a higher standard given the sensitivity of the data involved.
6. Cookies On hulmeband.com
hulmeband.com uses cookies to save preferences, maintain your session, and give us a general picture of how the site is used so we can continue improving it. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them entirely may affect some site functionality.
7. Your Rights Under UK and EU Law
Depending on your location, you may have the right to view, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. If you're based in the UK or EU, rights under UK GDPR and GDPR apply. Marketing emails always include a one-click unsubscribe. Contact us using the details below to exercise any of these rights.
8. Children Are Not Our Audience
The Hulme Band and its companion app are not intended for children under 13, and collecting their data is not something we do intentionally. If you believe a child's data has been collected, let us know and we will remove it promptly.
9. International Data Transfers
If you access our Services from outside the country where our servers are hosted, your data may cross borders as part of normal processing. Wherever it travels, we apply the same standards described in this Policy, and appropriate safeguards are in place for any transfers outside the UK or EEA.
10. Updates To This Policy
This page is revised from time to time, with each update reflected in a new "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated more prominently โ via email or an in-app notification โ rather than as a quiet edit.
Questions about your data?
